Great products grow through collaboration and diverse perspectives.
It's about turning imagination into reality, together.
I'm Ann, a product designer at Automattic, based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I work on commerce, merchant tools, and the gentle places where humans meet software, trying to make them feel a bit kinder.

Writing
Notes from the design desk.
- Recent Input Validation for Shipping How a fiddly shipping label form became clear, helpful guidance, four iterations and a lot of small decisions, refining one component until it stopped fighting merchants.
- Sep 2018 Side Project: Collectful A weekend side project tackling the digital piles of articles, videos, and resources we save and never revisit, and what I learned trying to design a "where does this go?" tool.
About
A short, mostly true self-portrait.
I grew up in Kaohsiung, spent four formative years in Canada, and once took an Amtrak across America just to see what was out the window.
These days I'm back in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and design product at Automattic, mostly working on WooCommerce and the small humane details that decide whether a tool feels like a friend or a chore.
Off-hours: bubble tea (less sugar), MLB box scores, slow walks past coffee shops, watching cats and dogs do the same eight things over and over and being delighted each time.
Now
What I'm up to this week.
